With finances being so short right now and the holidays coming up quickly, you are probably wondering what gifts are feasible to give the people close to you. The answer to your dilemma is making beeswax candles!
You will be surprised at how easy candle making is. Normally you can make several gifts, without having to spend a lot of money on supplies. Several candles can be made at a time. There are numerous kinds of candles available for you to make they include: gel, paraffin, or soy wax. Today though making beeswax candles are among the most popular activities.
Making Candles from beeswax has more benefits than some of the other types of candle making. One of the most appealing features of the beeswax is its buttery yellow color. Beeswax candles also are scented already with a honey like sweet smell, which allows you not to spend money or time adding artificial scents. Beeswax candles take longer to burn down than many other kinds of candles do.
If you are purchasing a kit to do your candle making, make certain that it contains beeswax that is 100 percent pure. On the market today there are several kits for candle making available. Check your favorite craft store for these kits, it is a good place to locate one. Inside the kits you should have all the supplies and instructions for you to have your first try at making candles using beeswax.
After you have made your beeswax candles you will probably see a powder-like substance on the candle’s surface. Don’t fret over this. You just need to buff your freshly-made candle with a cloth that is soft. If the buffing does not work lightly use your blow dryer on it but make sure it is on the low setting.
As you are making beeswax candles for gifts, a decision will also need to be made as to what manner you are going to present this gift in. So think about how to gift wrap while you are going through the candle making steps. One idea would be to just use a gift bag that is clear plastic to present the candle to the person. You could also use raffia or colored ribbons to close the bag with. You may want to make several candles at a time so that you have some on hand for gifts.
